GohmanOur speaker series give students and the campus community the opportunity to hear from high caliber academics and business leaders on topics related to individual liberty, economic freedom, principled entrepreneurship, etc.

Mercer students, faculty and the local business community are all invited to attend.

Carlos Sánchez Berzáin


We were happy to host Carlos Sánchez Berzaín from the Interamerican Institute for Democracy. He spoke on the topic The Two Americas: Dictatorship and Democracy.

 

Dean Ball


Great visit from Dean Ball of Mercatus of George Mason University. Dean led a colloquium on Artificial Inteligence and then gave a lecture explaining how AI works. The lecture also explored the policy implications of the new technology.

 

Julio Cole


We were delighted to host Julio Cole from Francisco Marroquin University. Julio led a colloquium on the importance of defending Western culture and then gave a lecture on utopias and dystopias through the ages.

 

Dan Smith


Fantastic visit of Dan Smith from Middle Tennessee State University. Dan led a colloquium on the morality of markets (hence the Adam Smith’s slide) and then gave a lecture of lawlessness at the Fed during Covid-19.
